DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 500 AM HST (1500 UTC), the center of Post-Tropical Cyclone Fernanda was located near latitude 16.4 North, longitude 132.2 West. The post-tropical cyclone is moving toward the west near 15 mph (24 km/h) and this general motion is expected to continue for the next few days. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Continued weakening is forecast during the next couple of days, and Fernanda is likely to dissipate by the weekend. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches).
