DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 100 AM PST (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Ramon was located near latitude 14.6 North, longitude 123.0 West. Ramon is moving toward the north near 5 mph (7 km/h), and an even slower motion toward the north or north-northeast is expected through tonight. A turn toward the west-northwest with an increase in forward speed is expected Sunday and Monday. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Some slight strengthening is possible today before weakening begins tonight. Ramon is likely to degenerate into a remnant low on Sunday. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 25 miles (35 km) to the east of the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches).
