Genevieve is moving toward the west-northwest near 13 mph (20 km/h), and this general motion is expected to continue for the next several days. Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher gusts. Significant strengthening is forecast during the next few days, and the cyclone is expected to reach hurricane intensity over the weekend.
