DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 800 AM AST (1200 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Danny was located near latitude 15.9 North, longitude 61.5 West. Danny is moving toward the west near 12 mph (19 km/h), and a westward to west-northwestward motion is expected over the next 48 hours. On the forecast track, the center of Danny will continue to move across the southern Leeward Islands later this morning, and move into the northeastern Caribbean Sea later today. Reports from an Air Force Hurricane Hunter aircraft indicate that the maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Further weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and Danny is expected to degenerate into a remnant low later today. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1009 mb (29.80 inches).
