DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 800 AM PDT (1500 UTC), the center of Post-Tropical Cyclone Eight-E was located near latitude 16.5 North, longitude 139.4 West. The post-tropical cyclone is moving toward the west near 13 mph (20 km/h), and this motion is expected to continue through today, followed by a turn toward the west-southwest on Friday. Maximum sustained winds are near 30 mph (45 km/h) with higher gusts. Little change in strength is expected until the system dissipates later today or on Friday.
