The depression is moving toward the northwest near 17 mph (28 km/h), and this general motion is expected to continue for the next couple of days. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and the depression is expected to become a remnant low pressure system by Monday.
