The depression is moving toward the northwest near 9 mph (15 km/h). A gradual turn to the north-northwest is anticipated Wednesday morning followed by a turn toward the north on Thursday. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Some strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours.
