DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 200 AM PDT (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Kevin was
located near latitude 20.2 North, longitude 115.8 West. Kevin is
moving toward the north near 8 mph (13 km/h). A turn toward the
northwest and west-northwest is expected over the next 48 hours
along with a decrease in forward speed.

Maximum sustained winds are near 60 mph (95 km/h) with higher gusts.
Weakening should begin later today, and Kevin is expected to weaken
to a tropical depression by Saturday.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 70 miles (110 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 999 mb (29.50 inches).
