DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 400 PM CDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Twenty-E was located near latitude 13.2 North, longitude 94.8 West. The depression is moving toward the west near 3 mph (6 km/h). A motion toward the west-southwest with some increase in forward speed is expected tonight, followed by a turn toward the west-northwest by Wednesday night and a turn toward the northwest by Thursday. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Strengthening is forecast, and the depression is expected to become a tropical storm tonight and reach hurricane strength on Thursday. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches).
