DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 700 AM PST (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Rick was located near latitude 17.3 North, longitude 115.1 West. Rick is moving toward the west-northwest near 13 mph (20 km/h), and this general motion is expected to continue through Sunday with a slight decrease in forward speed. A turn toward the northwest and a further decrease in forward speed are forecast Sunday night and Monday. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Weakening is forecast, and Rick is expected to become a tropical depression by tonight and weaken to a post-tropical remnant low by Sunday night.
