DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Georgette was located near latitude 18.4 North, longitude 128.6 West. Georgette has been nearly stationary for the past several hours. A motion toward the northwest is expected to begin later this afternoon or tonight and continue through Wednesday. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 60 mph (95 km/h) with higher gusts. Additional weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and Georgette could degenerate to a remnant low pressure area by Wednesday night. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 45 miles (75 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 996 mb (29.42 inches).
