DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 900 PM MDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Twelve-E was located near latitude 17.8 North, longitude 110.4 West. The depression is moving toward the northwest near 7 mph (11 km/h), and this general motion should continue through Friday. A turn toward the north-northwest and a decrease in forward speed are expected Friday night. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Modest strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and the depression is expected to become a tropical storm on Friday. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches).
