DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 200 AM PDT (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Kay was
located near latitude 22.0 North, longitude 119.3 West. The
depression is moving toward the west near 8 mph (13 km/h), and this
general motion is expected to continue during the next couple of
days.

Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 35 mph (55 km/h) with
higher gusts.  Additional weakening is forecast, and Kay is
expected to degenerate to a remnant low by Tuesday night.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches).
