DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 800 AM PDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Orlene was located near latitude 19.8 North, longitude 125.9 West. Orlene is moving toward the west near 12 mph (19 km/h), and a steady westward motion is forecast for the next 48 hours. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher gusts. Additional weakening is forecast during the next day or two, and Orlene could become a tropical depression by tonight or Saturday.
