DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 900 PM MDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Tina was located near latitude 18.5 North, longitude 107.1 West. Tina is moving generally toward the north near 3 mph (6 km/h) and this motion is expected to continue tonight. A turn toward the northwest and west-northwest is expected on Monday. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Weakening is expected on Monday, and Tina is expected to become a remnant low by Tuesday. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 105 miles (165 km) to the east of the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches). HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND ---------------------- RAINFALL: Tina is expected to produce total rain accumulations of 3 to 6 inches over portions of Colima and western Jalisco in Mexico through Monday.
