DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 300 PM MDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Ivo was located near latitude 15.8 North, longitude 109.5 West. Ivo is moving toward the west-northwest near 20 mph (31 km/h). A decrease in forward speed and a turn to the northwest is expected by Thursday, with a northwestward motion continuing through Friday. Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher gusts. Steady strengthening is expected and Ivo is forecast to become a hurricane by Friday. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 35 miles (55 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1004 mb (29.65 inches).
