At 1100 PM HST (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Ivette
was located near latitude 17.1 North, longitude 140.6 West. The
depression is moving toward the west near 9 mph (15 km/h). A turn
toward the west-southwest and a slight increase in forward speed
is expected during the next 48 hours.
 
Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.
Additional weakening is forecast, and Ivette is expected to become a
remnant low on Monday.
 
The estimated minimum central pressure is 1007 mb (29.74 inches).
