DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 500 PM HST (0300 UTC), the center of Hurricane Lester was located near latitude 22.8 North, longitude 156.7 West. Lester is moving toward the west-northwest near 17 mph (28 km/h) and this motion is expected to gradually become northwesterly tonight through Monday afternoon. Maximum sustained winds are near 75 mph (120 km/h) with higher gusts. Some weakening is forecast through Monday afternoon. Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 10 miles (20 km) from the center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 125 miles (205 km). The estimated minimum central pressure is 991 mb (29.27 inches).
