At 500 AM HST (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Lester was
located near latitude 28.9 North, longitude 163.9 West. Lester is
moving toward the northwest near 17 mph (28 km/h), and this
general motion is expected to continue this morning, then move in
the same direction at a slightly slower forward speed later today
and tonight. Lester is forecast to turn toward the north on
Tuesday, and toward the north-northeast Tuesday night. 
 
Maximum sustained winds are near 60 mph (95 km/h) with higher gusts.
Little change in intensity is forecast through Tuesday night.
 
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 140 miles (220 km)
from the center.
 
The estimated minimum central pressure is 1000 mb (29.53 inches).
