At 1100 AM HST (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Lester was
located near latitude 29.8 North, longitude 164.6 West. Lester is
moving toward the north-northwest near 13 mph (20 km/h) and this
motion is expected to continue today. Lester will gradually turn
toward the north and slow down slightly tonight and Tuesday followed
by a turn to the north-northeast Tuesday night and Wednesday morning
with an increase in forward speed.  
 
Maximum sustained winds are near 60 mph (95 km/h) with higher gusts.
Little change in strength is forecast through Wednesday morning.
 
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 140 miles (220 km)
from the center.
 
The estimated minimum central pressure is 1000 mb (29.53 inches).
