At 500 AM HST (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Lester was
located near latitude 33.2 North, longitude 166.0 West. Lester is
moving toward the north near 12 mph (19 km/h) and this motion
will continue through the day today. The cyclone will turn toward
the northeast on Wednesday with an increase in forward speed.
 
Maximum sustained winds are near 60 mph (95 km/h) with higher gusts.
Some weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours as Lester
transitions to a post-tropical low.
 
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 125 miles (205 km)
from the center.
 
The estimated minimum central pressure is 999 mb (29.50 inches).
