located near latitude 16.3 North, longitude 140.8 West. Madeline is
moving toward the northwest near 7 mph (11 km/h). This motion is
expected to continue through tonight with a turn toward the west
Monday night.
 
Maximum sustained winds are near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts.
Some strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours.
 
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 60 miles (95 km)
from the center.
