DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Hilary was located near latitude 19.7 North, longitude 119.2 West. Hilary is moving toward the northwest near 9 mph (15 km/h). A west-northwest to northwest motion with an increase in forward speed is expected through the weekend. Maximum sustained winds are near 65 mph (100 km/h) with higher gusts. Gradual weakening is expected for the next several days. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 105 miles (165 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 996 mb (29.42 inches).
