DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 800 PM PDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Hilary was located near latitude 20.3 North, longitude 120.1 West. Hilary is moving toward the northwest near 12 mph (19 km/h), and this general motion is expected to continue for the next couple of days. Maximum sustained winds are near 70 mph (110 km/h) with higher gusts. Some weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and Hilary is forecast to decay into a remnant low late this weekend. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 105 miles (165 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 992 mb (29.30 inches).
