DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 200 AM PDT (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Jova was
located near latitude 20.4 North, longitude 116.0 West. The
depression is moving toward the west near 15 mph (24 km/h), and this
general motion is expected to continue for the next couple of days
with some decrease in forward speed.

Maximum sustained winds remain near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher
gusts. However, gradual weakening is expected, and Jova is forecast
to become a remnant low later today.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches).
