DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 800 AM PDT (1500 UTC), the center of Post-Tropical Cyclone Otis was located near latitude 19.0 North, longitude 128.6 West. The post-tropical cyclone is moving toward the west near 6 mph (9 km/h). A west to west-southwest motion is expected during the next day or so. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Weakening is forecast, and Otis is likely to dissipate within 36 hours. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches). HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND ---------------------- None.
