DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Post-Tropical Cyclone Aletta was located near latitude 16.6 North, longitude 118.3 West. The post-tropical cyclone is moving toward the west near 7 mph (11 km/h), and this general motion is expected to continue through tonight. A turn toward the west-southwest with a reduction in forward speed is forecast to occur on Tuesday. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Weakening is expected during the next 48 hours, and he remnant low is forecast to dissipate by the end of the week. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches).
