DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 900 PM MDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Seventeen-E was located near latitude 14.3 North, longitude 108.4 West. The depression is moving toward the west-northwest near 10 mph (17 km/h). A slower motion toward the west-northwest or northwest is expected during the next few days. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Gradual strengthening is forecast during the next few days, and the depression is expected to become a tropical storm on Saturday.
