DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 800 AM PDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Paul was located near latitude 22.3 North, longitude 124.1 West. The depression is moving toward the west-northwest near 12 mph (19 km/h). A gradual turn toward the west and a decrease in forward speed is anticipated over the next few days. Maximum sustained winds remain near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Paul is expected to weaken into a remnant low on Wednesday. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches).
