DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 1100 PM AST (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Lorenzo was located near latitude 13.2 North, longitude 32.4 West. Lorenzo is moving toward the west-northwest near 16 mph (26 km/h), and this motion is expected to continue through Thursday. A turn to the northwest is expected Thursday night. Maximum sustained winds are near 70 mph (110 km/h) with higher gusts. Strengthening is expected over the next few days and Lorenzo should become a hurricane tonight or Wednesday. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 205 miles (335 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 993 mb (29.33 inches).
