DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 1100 PM HST (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Ema was located near latitude 22.2 North, longitude 165.4 West. Ema is moving toward the northwest near 10 mph (17 km/h), and this this general motion is expected to continue during the next day or two. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Steady weakening is forecast, and Ema is expected to dissipate by Monday. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 45 miles (75 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches).
