DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 800 AM PDT (1500 UTC), the center of Post-Tropical Cyclone Alvin was located near latitude 20.7 North, longitude 120.5 West. The post-tropical cyclone is moving toward the northwest near 8 mph (13 km/h) and this general motion is expected to continue through tonight. Maximum sustained winds are near 30 mph (45 km/h) with higher gusts. The remnant low is expected to dissipate tonight or Sunday. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1007 mb (29.74 inches).
