DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 800 AM PDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Dalila was located near latitude 18.7 North, longitude 117.7 West. Dalila is moving toward the north-northwest near 8 mph (13 km/h). A turn to the northwest is expected to occur tonight, followed by a movement toward the west-northwest on Thursday and Thursday night. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Weakening is expected to begin by tonight and the Dalila is forecast to become a remnant low by Wednesday night. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles (150 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches).
