DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 1100 AM HST (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Flossie was located near latitude 16.0 North, longitude 133.2 West. Flossie is moving toward the west-northwest near 18 mph (30 km/h), and this general motion is expected to continue with some decrease in forward speed through early Sunday. On the forecast track, Flossie should cross into the central Pacific basin late Friday or early Saturday. Maximum sustained winds are near 65 mph (100 km/h) with higher gusts. Gradual weakening is expected during the next two to three days. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 125 miles (205 km) from the center.
