DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Ivo was located near latitude 22.3 North, longitude 116.5 West. Ivo is moving toward the north-northwest near 8 mph (13 km/h), and this motion is expected to continue through Sunday night. A turn toward the north and a decrease in forward speed are expected on Monday. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Ivo is expected to weaken to a tropical depression tonight or Sunday and degenerate into a remnant low Sunday night. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 140 miles (220 km) mainly to the southeast of the center. The minimum central pressure just reported by a NOAA Hurricane Hunter aircraft is 1000 mb (29.53 inches). HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND ---------------------- SURF: Swells generated by Ivo are now spreading onto the west coast of Baja California Sur.
