DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 300 PM MDT (2100 UTC), the center of Hurricane Juliette was located near latitude 17.2 North, longitude 113.3 West. Juliette is moving toward the northwest near 10 mph (17 km/h). The hurricane is expected to continue at this forward speed toward the northwest or west-northwest for the next several days. Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 80 mph (130 km/h) with higher gusts. Additional strengthening is anticipated for the next day or two. Weakening is forecast to begin by Thursday. Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 15 miles (30 km) from the center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 125 miles (205 km).
