DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 1100 AM HST (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Juliette was located near latitude 23.4 North, longitude 124.9 West. Juliette is moving toward the west-northwest near 13 mph (20 km/h), and this general motion should continue through tonight. A turn toward the west is forecast to occur on Saturday and a general westward motion should continue into early next week. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 70 mph (110 km/h) with higher gusts. Additional weakening is expected during the next 48 hours, and Juliette is forecast to degenerate into a remnant low late Saturday or Sunday. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles (150 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 992 mb (29.30 inches). HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND ---------------------- None.
