DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Eighteen-E was located near latitude 10.1 North, longitude 126.5 West. The depression is drifting toward the west near 2 mph (4 km/h). The system is forecast to meander with little net motion expected over the next few days. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Some strengthening is expected, and the cyclone is likely to become a tropical storm by Friday.
