DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 200 AM MST (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Twenty-E was located near latitude 13.5 North, longitude 108.6 West. The depression is moving toward the north-northwest near 6 mph (9 km/h), and this motion with a slight increase in forward speed is expected during the next day or so. A turn to the north-northeast is expected to occur by early Sunday. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Some strengthening is expected during the next day or so, and the depression is forecast to become a tropical storm later today. Weakening is forecast to occur by Sunday, and the system is predicted to degenerate into a remnant low by late Sunday or early Monday. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches). HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND ---------------------- RAINFALL: The system is expected to produce total rainfall accumulations of 2 to 4 inches across the southern portions of Baja California Sur.
