DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 1000 PM CDT (0300 UTC), the center of Post-Tropical Cyclone Beta was located near latitude 34.0 North, longitude 87.1 West. The post-tropical cyclone is moving toward the northeast near 12 mph (19 km/h) and this motion is expected to continue through Friday. Maximum sustained winds are near 25 mph (35 km/h) with higher gusts. Continued slow weakening is forecast before weakening into the frontal zone later Friday The estimated minimum central pressure is 1008 mb (29.77 inches).
