DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 300 AM MDT (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Andres was located near latitude 14.7 North, longitude 109.1 West. Andres is moving toward the northwest near 5 mph (7 km/h), and this general motion is expected to continue today. A turn toward the west-northwest is forecast on Tuesday, followed by a westward motion on Wednesday and Thursday. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Gradual weakening is forecast to begin later today, with Andres expected to become a remnant low on Tuesday. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 80 miles (130 km) from the center.
