Radar data indicate that the eyewall of Lala is passing near South 
Point, Hawaii.

An observation at Kona Airport recently reported a sustained wind of 
52 mph (84 km/h) and a gust of 71 mph (114 km/h). 

Peak rainfall measurements over the last 12 hours are between 13 to 
14 inches across windward Maui and the Big Island.
